Diane Frye Tanner
Vice President
Diane is a marketing professional whose career has spanned both the corporate and nonprofit sectors, including her role as a Senior Marketing Manager in Corporate Marketing with Time Inc./Time Warner, in NYC. Diane’s decision to move from corporate work to non-profit mid-career led her to freelance in marketing, public relations, and events for a variety of non-profits in the Bay Area and NYC.
Diane has been an active volunteer over many years, including with the National Center for Equine Facilitated Therapy (NCEFT), the Brain Tumor Foundation and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center where she and her family dog Millie, as a certified therapy team, visited patients, family and staff. They also visited schools as part of a social emotional learning program for underprivileged youth through A Fair Shake for Youth.
A lifelong equestrian, Diane has ridden since childhood and competed nationally in hunters, finishing 5th in the country in her division. She also competed in cutting horse competitions in the Bay Area.
Diane made it her goal from a young age to be involved with therapeutic riding wherever and whenever she could. After moving to Snowmass Village in 2020 with her husband Brooks and daughter Carolyn, Diane quickly connected with WindWalkers, began volunteering, and joined the board in 2024. She is beyond grateful to be involved with WindWalkers, and to witness the staff and therapy horses transform the lives of adults and children, every day.
Diane serves on several boards in the RFV and has two horses—Jake, a rescue she has loaned to the WindWalkers herd since March 2025, and her Quarter Horse Duke.
